Stress and anxiety recovery coaching in pre-season.

We offer TRT coaching for players and staff dealing with stress and anxiety during pre-season. That may mean panic, phobias or persistent worry unrelated to sport, or pressure around a new role or selection. Your coach guides you through the TRT framework and practical steps for anxiety recovery—not tactics or ways to secure a place in the team.

The service

What TRT coaching involves

TRT is structured coaching for stress and anxiety recovery. The aim is greater stability and wellbeing in everyday life—not better scores, selection or sporting technique. The work uses the Human Stability Framework.

  1. 01

    Start with your anxiety

Your coach begins with what you are experiencing, what you want to work on and any support you already have. This helps establish whether TRT coaching and the proposed format are suitable for you.

  2. 02

Learn the framework with your coach

Your coach explains the biological threat response and how attention, interpretation and behaviour can keep it active. They introduce the TRT framework and agree practical areas to work on with you.

  3. 03

Use the guided steps in everyday life

The coaching supports your use of structured materials or exercises, with questions and adjustments as part of the work. Sport may be part of your life, but your anxiety need not be caused by it.

One-to-one sessions can be arranged via Zoom, FaceTime, or in person at Oliva Nova or nearby.

When you get in touch

What to tell us.

Say whether you're a player, staff member or organiser, when camp is, and what you'd like to talk about: everyday anxiety, a change in the team, selection, or a mix. You needn't disclose a diagnosis to a club to enquire.

We'll discuss whether coaching is suitable, how we might meet and the cost before anything is agreed. We don't provide medical or psychological treatment.

01

New team, familiar anxiety

You might be meeting new teammates while also dealing with panic on the journey, health worries or intrusive thoughts you had before signing. You can ask about those concerns without treating them as a football problem.

02

When selection is the worry

If you're replaying a coach's comments at night or dreading a trial, tell us what happens before and after training. We can discuss the anxiety; we don't advise on team selection or guarantee better performances.

03

If you're organising the camp

Tell us the dates, age group, group size and when people could realistically speak away from training. We can discuss a private enquiry route and whether a group discussion makes sense alongside the welfare support you already have.

Start with your situation.

Use the form to share what you'd like to ask about. We'll check what is suitable and available, then explain the next step, location and cost. No particular result can be promised.
