Stress and anxiety recovery coaching for rugby players.

We offer TRT coaching for rugby players living with stress and anxiety—not rugby technique coaching. Panic, phobias or persistent worry may be entirely unrelated to matches. When selection pressure or fear after injury is part of your anxiety, it can be part of the work too. Your injury team still decides what is physically safe.

The service

What TRT coaching involves

TRT is structured coaching for stress and anxiety recovery. The aim is greater stability and wellbeing in everyday life—not better scores, selection or sporting technique. The work uses the Human Stability Framework.

  1. 01

    Start with your anxiety

Your coach begins with what you are experiencing, what you want to work on and any support you already have. This helps establish whether TRT coaching and the proposed format are suitable for you.

  2. 02

Learn the framework with your coach

Your coach explains the biological threat response and how attention, interpretation and behaviour can keep it active. They introduce the TRT framework and agree practical areas to work on with you.

  3. 03

Use the guided steps in everyday life

The coaching supports your use of structured materials or exercises, with questions and adjustments as part of the work. Sport may be part of your life, but your anxiety need not be caused by it.

One-to-one sessions can be arranged via Zoom, FaceTime, or in person at Oliva Nova or nearby.

TRT coaching does not provide a medical diagnosis or replace medical or psychological care. No recovery timeframe or sporting result is guaranteed.

When you get in touch

What to tell us.

Tell us whether your concern is about everyday anxiety, selection, returning to contact or something else. If you're organising for a squad, include dates, age group and existing welfare support rather than players' private details.

We'll discuss whether coaching is suitable, how we might meet and the cost before anything is agreed. We don't provide medical or psychological treatment.

01

Worry that isn't about rugby

You might train most days yet be dealing with panic on public transport, health anxiety or worry at home. Start with what is happening outside training; we won't turn it into a form question.

02

Contact after an injury

If you're physically cleared but feel frightened before a tackle, we can talk about that fear. New pain, symptoms or questions about safe contact belong with your clinician or injury team; coaching is not clearance to play.

03

A private route for a player

An individual can enquire directly, even if a club first mentions coaching. For a squad enquiry, tell us the dates, ages and whether you're considering a group discussion or private access. We'll explain privacy and any safety limits.

Start with your situation.

Use the form to share what you'd like to ask about. We'll check what is suitable and available, then explain the next step, location and cost. No particular result can be promised.
