Stress and anxiety recovery coaching for runners.

We offer TRT coaching for runners living with stress and anxiety. You can enjoy running and have panic or persistent worry that has nothing to do with races. If race-day anxiety is the concern, we work with the anxiety—not your pace or training plan. Coaching uses the TRT framework and guided steps for everyday life.

The service

What TRT coaching involves

TRT is structured coaching for stress and anxiety recovery. The aim is greater stability and wellbeing in everyday life—not better scores, selection or sporting technique. The work uses the Human Stability Framework.

  1. 01

    Start with your anxiety

Your coach begins with what you are experiencing, what you want to work on and any support you already have. This helps establish whether TRT coaching and the proposed format are suitable for you.

  2. 02

Learn the framework with your coach

Your coach explains the biological threat response and how attention, interpretation and behaviour can keep it active. They introduce the TRT framework and agree practical areas to work on with you.

  3. 03

Use the guided steps in everyday life

The coaching supports your use of structured materials or exercises, with questions and adjustments as part of the work. Sport may be part of your life, but your anxiety need not be caused by it.

One-to-one sessions can be arranged via Zoom, FaceTime, or in person at Oliva Nova or nearby.

When you get in touch

What to tell us.

Tell us if you're asking about everyday anxiety, the build-up to a particular race, or both. A race date can help with planning, but we don't provide support at the event.

We'll discuss whether coaching is suitable, how we might meet and the cost before anything is agreed. We don't provide medical or psychological treatment.

01

What happens before an event?

If you check the start list repeatedly, sleep badly or feel sick at the thought of a crowded start, describe what happens before and on race day. We can discuss the anxiety without handing you a generic pacing or race-day routine.

02

What happens on ordinary days?

If you're anxious at work or at home but feel fine when running, say that. Playing a sport doesn't mean it's the source of your anxiety; a race need not be involved in your enquiry.

03

Know when to get medical help

Chest pain, fainting or serious breathing trouble needs prompt medical attention, especially while exercising. Coaching isn't a way to assess these symptoms, and we don't provide medical cover at races.

Start with your situation.

Use the form to share what you'd like to ask about. We'll check what is suitable and available, then explain the next step, location and cost. No particular result can be promised.
